Dallas Zoo Conservation, Education and Science   Every Day Is a Field Trip at Dallas Zoo's New Preschool and Spring Break Camp Check in to the Dallas Zoo's Preschool and Spring Break Camp classes, which offer unique educational opportunities for children who love animals. Nature Tykes and A-Zoo Preschool Safari are 12-week programs for children ages 3 to 5. The first-ever Spring Break Camp at the Dallas Zoo is available for children in kindergarten through fifth grade. Preschool programs follow early-childhood curriculum guidelines for Texas TEKS and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and include goals for the Council for Environmental Education. Children develop skills in language, literacy, phonemic awareness, creative arts, problem solving, critical thinking, mathematical skills, scientific thinking and observation, and cooperation and social skills.
