Dallas Festival of Colors Holi Mela
Mar. 19th
Holi marks the start of Spring and welcomes life with the blooming flowers, the new leaves and so much happiness! When we all get colored, we loose all the distinctions based on economic status, religion, sex, caste or creed, nationality. we all become one! rnrnFor the past 12 years, this event has focused on embracing the colors of inclusion and diversity in celebration of the festive nature of its derived heritage in South East Asia. Holi has been celebrated for thousands of years in India and now the rest of the world. What makes Holi - Dallas Festival of Colors special is the non-denominational inclusion of all faiths- which has led a diverse crowd of all ages and cultures. In 2013 we established our nonprofit Human Embrace, 501.C.3 to facilitate women and children who face adversity post domestic violence. Our Color Run launches the event with a ribbon cutting ceremony and proceeds from the Color Run are donated to our community outreach programs.
